Getting to France

For those traveling from the US, we suggest flying into either Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or Paris-Orly (ORY) airports. To find a flight that works for you, use Google Flights and enter your preferred dates to Paris.

International flights are typically the most affordable when booked 5-7 months in advance, so we recommend starting your search in Spring 2025. Keep in mind that booking a round trip ticket from the same airport is generally much cheaper than booking flights to and from different airports when flying internationally.

Make sure your passport is current and will not expire six months past your travel dates.

Getting to Épernay

Next, you can book your train ride from Paris to Épernay using the SNCF website or their app. Direct trains are available from the Paris Gare de l’Est train station several times per day, and the trip takes about an hour. Double check when booking that you are booking a direct ticket.

We recommend an Uber from your airport to Gare de l’Est, but it can also be reached by the Metro. Plan to arrive at the train station at least 20-30 minutes before your train’s departure time. Trains leave right on time and will stop boarding 10 minutes before their departure.

Alternatively, Épernay is a short drive from Paris, and cars are available to rent at both Airports.
